During the first proofreading and editing run, every chapter is thoroughly read word-for-word, and checked for grammar, spelling, sentence structure, etc.

I make revisions in Word format and send your work back to you with the revisions noted. It's up to you to review these revisions and apply them as you see fit.

This is your product; the original personality injected into the book by you should remain as intact as possible.

Second Proofreading and Editing Run

Once you have sent the book back to me with the revisions applied, your work is carefully read a second time word-for-word.

I perform a second check for grammar and spelling errors, and pay closer attention to sentence structure and sentence flow, as well as the transition between paragraphs and sections.

You receive your book with the second set of revisions either applied by me, or again as suggestions that you can apply yourself.

Layout Run

For an additional cost not included in the proofreading and editing service, I will carefully check your work for layout; including consistent margins, headings and sub-headings, a proper table of contents, opening and ending sections, etc. I can save the finished layout in either Word or pdf format, depending on your printer's specifications.
